What can I operate?
Truck Mounted Cranes.
This course is to asses competency in the operation of truck mounted cranes, truck-mounted loading equipment, or a hydraulic knuckle boom crane. in compliance and accordance with health and safety requirements.
Course participants will be issued with a PassRite Driving Academy Ltd Operator Competency Certificate once successfully completing the course that will satisfy the employer's legal obligation to train their staff.

What is covered in this course?
The unit standard that we have aligning our course to is:
16617 Use a truck loader crane to lift and place loads. Version 5 Credits 15.
This unit is the only unit reconised by the Labour Department and must be held by all operators.
The course is both a theory and practical based course giving you a good understanding of the safe orperation of crane lifting gear.
Once you have successfully completed US16617, have the certificate and have it registered on your record of learning you can operate such machinery in the work place.
Once you have US16617 then on a 3 yearly upskill training schedule we will use Unit Standard 1754, Operate truck-mounted load lifting equipment, to up skill as this is solely a practical course. This unit standard is for drivers and others engaged in loading and unloading road haulage vehicles fitted with truck-mounted loading equipment, or a hydraulic knuckle boom crane.

Safe stowage for transportation
